Dr. Rachael Degurse is a board-certified physician and the founder of Pearl Primary Care. She created the practice to give patients a more personal, relationship-based primary care experience in Colorado Springs, and to build a better way for physicians to practice medicine outside the pressure and pace of large corporate healthcare systems.
Her approach is grounded in clarity, agency, and genuine partnership. Dr. Degurse believes patients make better healthcare decisions when they feel heard, respected, and supported, and when their physician has the time to understand the full context of their life and health.
Beyond patient care, she is a philanthropist, a women’s advocate, and a physician advocate who cares deeply about creating healthier systems for both patients and clinicians.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Degurse is a devoted Disney enthusiast, a moviegoer, an agenda-less bookstore wanderer, and an annual personal reading-record challenger. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband, Travis, and their two beloved doodles, Nymeria (a Sheepadoodle) and Mae (a Goldendoodle).
Family Physician
Dr. Victoria Mallon is a board-certified family physician with more than two decades of experience caring for patients across every stage of life. Originally from New York, she completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine before moving to Colorado in 2000 to complete her Family Medicine residency. Since then, she has practiced in community primary care, military medicine, physician-led medical groups, telehealth, and large healthcare organizations.
What ultimately drew Dr. Mallon to Pearl Primary Care was the opportunity to practice medicine in a way that reflects her core beliefs. She is passionate about restoring the physician-patient relationship, simplifying an increasingly complex healthcare system, and helping patients make informed decisions through evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making. She believes healthcare works best when physicians have the time to truly listen, build trust, and partner with patients over the long term.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mallon enjoys mountain biking, camping, backpacking, traveling, reading, tackling home improvement projects, and spending time with her husband, Scott, and their friendly terrier mix, Rusty.

Check-in & Arrival: When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our front desk team in a calm, unhurried environment.
Getting Settled: A medical assistant (or maybe even one of our doctors) will bring you to our vitals room, review your information, answer initial questions, and make sure you are comfortable before your visit.
Time With Your Physician: When your physician is ready, you will be guided to an exam room for an unrushed conversation focused on your concerns, goals, and overall health. Ask as many questions as you need to. There’s literally no rush.
After your visit: Follow-up steps, questions, and next actions are coordinated thoughtfully so nothing feels unclear or left hanging.
